Twitter has been a hotbed of late for hot takes not just about sports, but about politics. With the current White House in place in the United States, celebrities, politicians, athletes, and other notable people from around the world are taking to Twitter to express their opinion of the 45th President of the United States.
One celebrity who isn’t afraid to express her disapproval of the current President is none other than J.K. Rowling. Yes, the author of the brilliant Harry Potter franchise.
Not only is she not afraid to make her opinion known, she’s also damn good at shaming those who disagree with her.
Well, the fumes from the DVDs might be toxic and I've still got your money, so by all means borrow my lighter. pic.twitter.com/kVoi8VGEoK

That’s her most recent tweet. As of writing this at 11:37 AM EST, the tweet had been up for just over four hours and already had 36K+ retweets and 110K+ likes. That’s absurd.
Here’s a sampling of some of her tweets from just the last week:
I think you mean 'shudder', unless there's a biblical character called Shutter I've forgotten. pic.twitter.com/x1uOy6n3BH

While tweeting about her own opinion in her own words, over the last week, Rowling has also retweeted the following tweets from celebrities and politicians to double down on her stance:
I was raised Catholic, became Episcopalian & found out later my family was Jewish. I stand ready to register as Muslim in #solidarity.

Now Rowling doesn’t “stick to politics” as she does tweet about the world she created very often as well.

But overall, if you take a quick glance at her Twitter account, it’s easy to see very quickly which way she leans and that’s not a bad thing.
As The Ringer’s Bryan Curtis suggested yesterday, The Era of Stick to Sports is over. I think the better way to put that is possibly “The era of stick to whatever you made your money doing is over.”
Long live the hot take British author who wrote fictional magician books, and thank you, J.K. Rowling. Thank you.
