While All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is nearing its four-year anniversary as a company, wrestlers who have defected to rival World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) have been few and far between, the most notable being Cody Rhodes.

Another major star, however, could soon be making the jump from AEW to WWE, with Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reporting that Jade Cargill is believed to be finishing up her run with AEW and could be headed to the company’s rival promotion.

Per Sapp:

“Fightful has spoken to sources within both AEW and WWE that believe she is headed to WWE. We should specify that we haven’t heard of an official offer being made, and as is always the case, things can change in the world of pro wrestling, including a situation like this.”

Should Cargill, in fact, make the move to WWE, it would be a major coup for the company. As opposed to Rhodes, who already had a run in WWE prior to making the jump to the independent scene and eventually, AEW, Cargill is a homegrown talent who has already proven to have mainstream appeal.

After debuting in a tag team match alongside Shaquille O’Neal in 2020, Cargill embarked on a 60-0 undefeated streak, winning the inaugural AEW TBS Championship, which she held for 508 days before losing to Kris Statlander at AEW’s Double Or Nothing show this past May. The former Jacksonville State basketball standout also appeared on the cover of AEW’s first video game, AEW Fight Forever.
