The NASCAR fans at Bristol Motor Speedway weren’t too happy to see Denny Hamlin win on Saturday night, but he didn’t seem to care much what they thought.

Hamlin capped off a very good showing at Bristol Motor Speedway with a victory in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race on Saturday evening.

Afterward, the NASCAR driver was speaking with a reporter near the Bristol crowd, who were showering him with boos. Hamlin wasn’t afraid to give it right back to them.

“Are these fans motivation for you?” asked the reporter referring to the booing fans. “There’s a lot of boos out there.”

“Hey. I beat your favorite driver,” said Hamlin, who started walking away. When asked who he was referring to, he added “All of them.”

He might have been referring to Kyle Larson who finished in second. Or perhaps he’s referring to Christopher Bell, Chris Buescher, or Ty Gibbs, all of whom finished in the top five.

It might have also been Martin Truex Jr. or Bubba Wallace, who were able to get up over the elimination line to be the last two into the Round of 12 in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Michael McDowell, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Joey Logano, and Kevin Harvick were all eliminated from title contention this season.
