Hailie Deegan

Hailie Deegan has been moving up the ranks of the NASCAR world over the last five years and the 20-year-old is set to take her next step. Racing in the Xfinity Series.

In a video posted on her YouTube account, Deegan announced that she will be driving the No. 07 Pristine Auction Ford Mustang for SS Green Light Racing.

Deegan revealed that she will be racing the car on October 15 in Las Vegas. As Deegan put it, “I really just wanted to make my debut for sure on a mile-and-a-half because that’s where I feel most comfortable. But I wanted to get my feet wet in the Xfinity Series.”

In addition to racing at a track she’s comfortable with, it’s also on a weekend that doesn’t have a Camping World Truck Series race. Deegan races full-time in the Truck Series and with a two-week break in between races, Deegan can prepare and compete in her first Xfinity Series race without worrying about it being a distraction from the Truck team.

This season, Deegan has two top-1o’s in 21 races, finishing 10th at Mid-Ohio in July and a career best 6th at Talladega this past Saturday. SS Green Light Racing has one win this season thanks to Cup Series driver Cole Custer getting the win at Fontana in February.
