LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne goes viral anytime she shows up on social media. So why then would a NASCAR driver decide to delete a post featuring him and the influencer?
Dunne made an appearance at Nashville Superspeedway last weekend to watch the Ally 400. Before the race, she had the opportunity to meet with driver Chase Elliott. The two then had a chat by the track while someone took a few photos.
Elliott then posted some pictures with Dunne on Twitter, adding the caption “Thanks for stopping by” and tagging her.
Did yall really make the poor kid delete this tweet? Why can't yall be normal on the internet for 5 damn seconds 🤣🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/GDq5vgclQY

For some reason, Elliott then deleted the tweet and did not repost the photos.
It’s very unclear why he decided to remove the photos, but if it was an attempt to cut down on speculation, it seems to have done the opposite, ala the Barbara Streisand Effect.
There’s bound to be a lot of speculation now about the relationship between the two but there’s nothing to confirm they’re anything other than acquaintances for the moment.
Meanwhile, Dunne continues to take the sports world by storm, and not just in her chosen sport. She’s been making headlines for her appearances at the Men’s College World Series and for her recent appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
