NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Blaine Perkins walked away from a terrifying crash at Talladega Superspeedway Saturday.
The 23-year-old driver got swept up in a multi-car incident early in the Ag-Pro 300. His car turned sideways in the middle of the pack, then went airborne and landed on its roof.
Then it barrel-rolled six times down the track.

Incredibly, Perkins climbed out of the wrecked car and walked away under his own power, a testament to the safety features in NASCAR race cars today.
That crash also involved another gruesome hit. Dexter Stacey, whose spin set the entire crash into motion, hit hard on the inside wall, but he also escaped injury. There was also a close call, as one of the tires from Perkins’ car hit Kaz Grala’s car.
Racing fans have come to expect such spectacular and vicious crashes at Talladega. Still, NASCAR fans breathed a sigh of relief that everyone escaped injury.
Some absolutely massive moments in this crash.

You could put an @Applebees commercial in the Middle of that it went so long

I think it was a good move to go right to commercial. It’s difficult cause I wanted to see the replay instantly but for their friends and family it’s good to know they’re alright then show replay.

That was a violent crash. So glad he walked away from it. It’s wonderful how safe these cars are.
