NASCAR star Kurt Busch’s wife Ashley is filing for divorce, according to reports. The divorce papers were filed on May 9 and Busch’s wife accuses him of “committed a tortious act.”
Mrs. Busch did not explain what she meant by that. The couple has been together for almost 6 years but apparently, things started to go wrong last month when he cut her off from their joint checking account and credit cards.
Ashley Busch also says her husband demanded that she leave their home by the beginning of June.
Kurt Busch released a statement himself admitting that indeed his marriage is over.
“I am heartbroken to confirm that my wife Ashley and I are working to dissolve our marriage,” said Busch. “Divorce is a personal and private matter and I hope our privacy will be respected.”

The timing is interesting as Busch just won his first race of the season this past Sunday.

Also ironically, brother Kyle, who is known as the bad boy of NASCAR, just had a baby with his wife.
Kurt and Ashley had no children together but there is a prenup. It is an interesting case considering that the couple only has been married for a short period of time and from the looks of it, it sounds like this may be a messy divorce.
