NASCAR rookie Noah Gragson is on the verge of losing his ride, according to reports.

Earlier, it was reported by The Athletic that Legacy Motor Club had released Gragson.

Gragson has been suspended for liking a meme of George Floyd, and Legacy Motor Club has been suspended indefinitely until further notice.

Earlier reports suggested Gragson was being let go. But now that report has been disputed by Forbes. They have a source with the team who said those reports aren’t true, at least not yet. The anonymous source said to Forbes, “NASCAR will determine the timeline when Noah can return to the sport. We are working with Noah and his representation through this process.”

Gragson later went on to apologize for the incident. “I am disappointed in myself for my lack of attention and actions on social media,” he posted on social media. “I understand the severity of this situation. I love and appreciate everyone. I try to treat everyone equally, no matter who they are. I messed up, plain and simple.”

The expectation is that at some point, Gragson will be released, but it may not be done during the season.

Some think they are waiting because of fear of retribution from NASCAR fans for letting him go over this incident.
