As the wrestling world still copes with the loss for Windham Rotunda, AKA Bray Wyatt, Dwayne Johnson has offered an amazing gesture to the Rotunda family.
Mika Rotunda, Windham’s sister, shared the following on X on Sunday. “Publicly, my family would like to thank The Rock for his kindness, condolences & love the past two weeks. Like he did all people— Windham had a positive impact on him too. And DJ has kept our fridges and homes (yes plural), filled with meals and groceries. Love you, ohana.”

Johnson, of course, grew up in the wrestling business with both his grandfather and father being wrestlers before entering the business himself, wrestling in WWE as The Rock from 1996 to 2003 before leaving for Hollywood and making occasional appearances in WWE.
At WrestleMania 32 in 2016, Wyatt and his group The Wyatt Family interrupted The Rock while he was in the ring talking to the crowd, leaving to a quick match where The Rock defeated Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan.
Johnson shared the following message on X on the day of Rotunda’s passing.
Im heartbroken over the news of Bray Wyatt’s passing. Always had tremendous respect and love for him and the Rotunda family. Loved his presence, promos, in ring work and connection with @wwe universe.
Very unique, cool and rare character, which is hard to create in our crazy… pic.twitter.com/i9zlbJIOL3— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) August 24, 2023
The nature of the wrestling business is unlike anything else. Since the wrestlers are on the road for as many as 300 days a year, they become more like a family and less like co-workers. This is just the latest example of people coming together following Rotunda’s untimely passing.
