Riddle

One of the most highly anticipated matches of this year’s SummerSlam is off because of an injury to Riddle at the hands of Seth Rollins.

On this Monday’s WWE Raw, Rollins viciously attacked Riddle to close out the show, culminating in stomping Riddle’s head into the ring steps.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that because of that attack, Riddle suffered a “brachial plexus injury” (stinger) and isn’t going to be able to compete. The match will be “postponed,” instead of canceled, giving hope that it’ll eventually take place when Riddle is healthy.

For those wondering whether or not this is a legit injury, Fightful Select is reporting that it is a storyline injury due to “creative adjustments” and that the “working plan” is to have the match at September’s Clash at the Castle.

Riddle’s plans seem to be set but it’s unknown what will happen to Rollins this weekend. Rollins is reportedly still set to be in Nashville for SummerSlam weekend so who knows how he’ll factor into the show. If he even does.
