WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker forged a legendary career in sports entertainment by refusing to be intimidated by anyone.

That apparently extends into his retirement against major predators in the animal kingdom, too.

The 58-year-old wrestling legend, government name Mark Calaway, retired from the ring in 2020 and been spending time with his wife, Michelle McCool Calaway, who herself was once a WWE diva.

The couple celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary last week and are enjoying a romantic beach getaway, according to The Daily Star. It was in those crystalline blue waters that McCool encountered a predatory shark she originally mistook for “vegetation.”

“I was simply enjoying a book on the beach when this ‘vegetation’ looked a lot like a shark…..so I text hubby @undertaker kinda digging that last picture …A LOT #myprotector,” she wrote on a series of pictures posted to Instagram.

In a video also shared by McCool, The Undertaker can be seen wading between the shark and his wife.

“Okay, I text my husband because this guy right here, I don’t know if you can see it, I just knew it was a shark and look how close we are,” McCool says.

Thankfully, The Undertaker didn’t have to use any of his wrestling moves against the shark. His presence alone was enough to send the shark in the other direction.
