Arguably the most athletic point guard we have seen in the league, Russell Westbrook always has players on their toes.

There has never been more proof of this than Tuesday night, when Westbrook was on a fastbreak in the Thunder’s Western Conference Semifinal Game 5 against the San Antonio Spurs. As Westbrook bounded down the floor, Patty Mills attempted to get in position to defend Westbrook.

It didn’t end well for Mills, who absolutely lost his footing after the slightest hesitation by Westbrook, and  came up with an easy layup:

This is just another great play in what has been perhaps the most competitive series during the NBA playoffs thus far. It’s no surprise to see something like this come from Westbrook, who might be the best athlete in the game.

It was also freakish plays like that, that helped Westbrook finish fourth in the NBA’s MVP voting, behind only Steph Curry, Kawhi Leonard, and LeBron James. That’s pretty good company to be in.
