Get ready for an increase in coverage of the Arizona Football League like you have never witnessed before. Tim Tebow is heading to the Arizona Fall League, the New York Mets announced via Twitter on Tuesday.

Tebow launched a home run on the very first pitch he saw in an instructional league game last week, although he went 0-for-5 the rest of the afternoon. Still, when was the last time you saw any coverage of an instructional league game? Odds are, probably never. Now, Tebow is heading to play some fall ball, which means you will likely get more updates from Arizona then you have ever seen. Brace yourselves, because you know it will be coming in a flurry.

The Mets announced Tebow will play for the Scottsdale Scorpions, a team made up of players from the Mets, Yankees, Phillies, Giants, and Angels. This will be a key experience for the Tebow experiment. A successful fall may be difficult to define going in for Tebow, but it will worth paying attention to how he performs against other fall league prospects to determine what his baseball future holds.

The Arizona Fall League doesn’t typically get a ton of media coverage or air time, but one could probably guess the MLB Network will find a way to find some air time for the league once the postseason comes to a close. The first game for the Scorpions is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11. Will Tebow make it to the Fall Stars Game on November 5?
