The Detroit Tigers finished up a six-game road trip to Minnesota and Cleveland with a 9-4 loss to the Indians at Progressive Field on Thursday. That finished off a three-game sweep in Cleveland, dropping Detroit’s record to 14-13 and a tie for third place in the AL Central.
Despite the Tigers’ struggles in Cleveland, Detroit slugger Miguel Cabrera still managed to show his fun side on the field. In the fourth inning of Thursday’s game, Cabrera chased a foul ball into the first-base stands, but let his momentum help him share a tender moment with an Indians fan. The spectator didn’t seem too enthused about hugging with the enemy, however.
During the first part of the Tigers’ road trip, Detroit swept three games at Target Field from the Minnesota Twins. That might explain why Cabrera was in such a good mood in the clubhouse following his team’s 6-5 win, as can be seen from his videobombing Victor Martinez’s postgame interview.

Martinez understandably got more attention from reporters on Sunday, batting 3-for-4 with two runs scored, while Cabrera hit 1-for-5. That didn’t seem to bother Cabrera, however.
After his performance during the six-game road trip, Cabrera could probably use a hug from Martinez. The Tigers’ first baseman hit .250 (6-for-24) in those six games with one homer and an RBI. Meanwhile, Martinez batted .480 (12-for-25) with a homer and three RBI.
