NEW YORK, NY – JUNE 25: John Swofford, ACC Commissioner (L) shakes hands with Randy Levine, President of the New York Yankees after addressing the media during a press conference to announce the New Era Pinstripe Bowl’s multi-year partnership with the Atlantic Coast Conference at Yankee Stadium on June 25, 2013 in the Bronx borough of New York City. The ACC is a college athletics conference, which means the job of the people who run it is to say non-sensical things about economics and show up to sports events. In return, those people get lots of money.

Now, the ACC is expanding into a new business opportunity: A restaurant.

So according to the ACC, the ACC American Cafe “brings the sports spirit of the Atlantic Coast Conference to travelers visiting this legendary region. With an exciting and laid-back vibe, ACC American Cafe serves great food that’s a fit for fans of both sports bars and classy neighborhood cafes.”

What does any of that corporate gibberish mean? Who knows! I have no idea what this restaurant is going to serve.

The ACC should probably just buy a Bojangles franchise next time. Oh, and pay the players.
