Senior Bowl jersey

I give Adidas a bunch of crap for their football uniforms, but these new uniforms they have designed for the upcoming Senior Bowl have me craving some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

The Senior Bowl announced a brand new uniform partnership with Adidas today and showed off what the new uniforms look like. Because the Senior Bowl, the nation’s top college All-Star game, also has a sponsorship with Reese’s, the color scheme is full of peanut butter and chocolate goodness reminiscent of a wrapper to a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

The outline of a Peanut Butter Cup can even be found on the sleeve of the jersey around the uniform number.

Those who follow the college football uniform game will recognize a few Adidas signatures in the design, such as the pattern used on the jersey upon closer inspection. The uniform also includes a metallic number outline, but at least these uniforms are readable and the font used is far more standard as opposed to some other notable Adidas efforts.

Here, Adidas keeps it fairly simple and that is a solid move. The uniform numbers are outlined in a gold trim, and it looks good on both the orange jerseys with black numbers and the black jerseys with orange numbers. In fact, ship this uniform design to Oklahoma State next season and let them wear this look (they can’t, of course, because Oklahoma State is a Nike school).

The Senior Bowl previously had a uniform apparel deal with Under Armour. This yera’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama will be played on January 28. The entire week leading up to the game will be flooded by NFL coaches and scouts as many of the top seniors around college football will be there working out and showing what they can do in the last notable event before the NFL Scouting Combine on the draft calendar.
