The Nebraska Cornhuskers are opening their doors to the latest craze to sweep humanity, Pokemon Go.
The university announced on Tuesday that they will be opening the gates to Memorial Stadium on Thursday for Pokemon Go players to try to catch them all in the popular augmented reality game.
Guys, you don't need to jump the fence to catch Pokemon at the stadium.
We'll let you in on Thursday.

It appears the university was tired of players attempting to get into the stadium to try to walk onto the open field and catch Pokemon. This way, they embrace both the game and its players, but also decrease the chance of people trying to get into the stadium to catch an Oddish. With many places — including cemeteries — banning the app, the folks in Nebraska appear to be getting ahead of the problem instead of just stopping it head-on.
They’re not even the only college to run the event as Texas A&M are also getting on the Pokemon craze.

For those who don’t know what Pokemon Go is, look outside. If you see somebody looking at their cell phone and walking into areas they shouldn’t be, they’re probably playing the game. Heck, people are being so dismissive of their real world surroundings they’re putting themselves in vulnerable positions, like getting robbed. Police have even sent out warnings about its dangers – multiple police forces.

I get that’s important to catch em’ all, but not at the cost of your personal safety. Be smart. Pay attention.
Props to Nebraska for just saying screw it and letting the people explore the stadium. Thursday will be chaotic, but once the Pokemon are caught and the event ends, they won’t have to deal with people breaking in to catch virtual Pokemon at nearly the same level.
