The story of Eagles fans booing Santa has become part of the identity of the disgruntled Eagles fan, but the true story of the situation is often forgotten about. Instead, it is used as a throwaway line to describe Philly fans any time something goes wrong.

Frank Olivo, the man who played the role of Santa Claus on this fateful day, passed away at the age of 66 in May 2015, but his legacy will live on for years, because nobody outside the city will allow it to rest in peace.
