Justin Blackmon is still suspended indefinitely by the NFL.
And that was before the Jaguars receiver picked up his third DUI last December. So it seems unlikely that he’ll be back on the Jacksonville sidelines any time soon.
He was sentenced for that third (again, third, though one was reduced) DUI on Wednesday, and if you’re expecting a severe punishment, well, you’d be wrong:

Addiction and substance abuse are obviously serious, and certainly Blackmon should get the help he needs. But at the same time, driving while impaired is a deathly serious offense. He’s incredibly lucky he didn’t kill anyone, and the punishment seems quite light considering the repeat offenses. (Three DUI arrests in Michigan, for example, is a felony.)
Can we maybe not let him drive for a while?
