Sean Spicer announced his resignation from being White House press secretary last week after weeks of speculation a change in the White House was coming. He may not be unemployed for long, however.

According to the New York Post‘s Page Six, Spicer is being targeted as a potential competitor on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, the reality dance competition hit show for the network. According to the report, Spicer is already in talks with networks about potential job opportunities in television, but this may not have been what he had in mind.

While Spicer is destined to be joining a long list of political commentators on one of the cable news networks or with one of the main networks, a stop on reality TV may be the change of pace Spicer needs before he transitions back into the political game from the other end of the camera.

Dancing With the Stars may do well in gathering B-level and C-level celebrities to fill its cast, but it has not strayed away from political figures being included. Former Texas governor Rick Perry, now the Energy Secretary, was on the show last year. He was the second dancer voted out. FOX News commentator Tucker Carlson was on Season 3 and was the first contestant eliminated.

This seems to be playing off the headlines, which the show is known to do. It’s actually a wise strategy to keep the show fresh and in-tune with the people that are known by the masses. But considering Spicer’s own approval rating, it also seems to be a bit of a gamble unless the hope is there is a comeback story in the making for Spicer.

The unfortunate reality for Spicer here is if things are not going well, the cameras will remain on. And there are no bushes to hide behind either.
