Netflix knows all.

The hugely popular streaming service released data from a December survey, showing among the more than 30,000 responders, 46 percent claimed to cheat on their partners. Before panicking about your partner’s infidelity and canceling any Valentines Day plans, the term “cheating” applies to watching habits.

The numbers are staggering. Of the 46 percent of cheaters, 48 percent are married. 61 percent would cheat if they could get away with it. 81 percent have cheated more than once. The most likely time to cheat? 28 percent say when “one of you is on a business trip.” Some, even do so “after you fall asleep.”

Look, I get it. My partner is notoriously slow at binge-watching shows. It took us nearly two weeks to finish Stranger Things. We still haven’t watch Narcos, Black Mirror, The OA or many Netflix titles. Have I thought about cheating and watching them myself? You’re damn right I have.

The survey shows the top Netflix temptations are Narcos, Stranger things, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards and Black Mirror. So, when a spouse cheats, they aren’t looking for laughs.

The only advice I can give, is if your partner cheats on your Netflix binge, is to A) change the password (which is evil) or B) find more time to watch together. Cheating doesn’t need to occur. Be open about your binging habits.
