Most NFL players simply ignore the significance their stats have on fantasy football owners or sports bettors like Todd Gurley did when he famously chose not to score a touchdown a few years ago. But Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette is taking a very different approach – he’s embracing it.
The Tampa Bay running back has had plenty of production through the first two games of his 2022-23 NFL season, rushing 21 times for 127 yards in the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys and 24 times for 65 yards against the New Orleans Saints this week, he has not yet found the end zone.
Fournette promises fantasy football owners that is going to change in near future.
To my fantasy owners I’m sorry Touchdowns coming soon!!!!!!!

“To my fantasy owners I’m sorry Touchdowns coming soon!!!!!!!” Fournette Tweeted on Monday.
There’s reason to believe he’s correct. Last season, Fournette finished the year with 10 total touchdowns – eight on the ground along with two touchdown receptions. The total was tied for the most single-season trips to the end zone in his career.
Fournette is Tampa Bay’s primary running back and with him getting 20 or more carries a game, there’s reason to believe he’ll find the end zone plenty of times before the season is over. Even when he doesn’t, he’ll still account for plenty of yardage, just as he did the previous two weeks.
