Despite an excellent performance on the field, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams stole the headlines after Monday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs for all the wrong reasons with his viral altercation with a photographer.
Following the Raiders‘ loss to the Chiefs, Adams shoved a media member to the ground in frustration while walking to the locker room in an incident that was completely out of line.
Adams apologized after the game for the incident, but it still remains very possible that he may be suspended by the NFL for his involvement in this situation. And the media member involved has also filed a police report, so there could be further criminal or civil action coming.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the NFL is reviewing this situation and it seems like all possibilities are on the table in terms of discipline from the NFL towards Adams.

Given the possibility of Adams being suspended, the Raiders made a notable roster move on Tuesday, signing veteran wide receiver Albert Wilson to their active roster.

This could mean that the Raiders are potentially expecting Adams to be suspended for a minimum of one game.
At the very least, they are preparing for the worst-case scenario for Adams, which is certainly a smart decision.
Wilson was already on the Raiders’ practice squad, so it was an easy decision for the team to just sign him to their active roster amidst this controversy around Adams.
Wilson has not exactly been a standout player over his seven-year NFL career. But he has provided some good depth in the league in stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins.
We will certainly see some sort of decision come down on Adams in the coming days. But Wilson’s signing is perhaps a reason for Raiders fans to start panicking.
