Saturday’s college baseball matchup between the Washington Huskies and the Oregon Ducks featured one of the worst outings that you will ever see from a pitcher.
Oregon starting pitcher Jackson Pace came into the game hoping to give the Ducks a chance to take this matchup after losing to the Huskies on Friday night.
That certainly didn’t happen, as Pace would go on to have what is likely his worst outing ever. He allowed every batter he faced to reach base, which was the first eight hitters for Washington.
He would be removed from the game after allowing a two-RBI double that made the game 7-0. Unfortunately for Oregon, relief pitcher Turner Spoljaric didn’t exactly stop the bleeding once he entered the game.
The No. 9 hitter Sam DeCarlo continued the Huskies’ offensive surge by hitting a two-run home run to make the game 9-0. This meant that the entire Washington team batted around without recording a single out.
He moved the runner alright…

Pace’s final stats in his outing are pretty rough. He finished the game with eight earned runs on six hits with one walk while getting no batters out.
Many took to social media to discuss Oregon’s brutal start to Saturday’s game.
A two-run double makes it 7-0. This is one of the worst starts to a baseball game I've seen in my entire life.
Jackson Pace faced eight batters. He retired zero of them. His evening is done. https://t.co/eUraqvlYv1

Michael Snyder just cleared the bases, it's 7-0 with ZERO OUTS.
Jackson Pace's day is over.

This is certainly an outing that the freshman pitcher would love to erase from his memory. Meanwhile, Washington Huskies players will likely never forget when they batted around in the first inning of this game.
