Aaron Judge Yankees Credit: YES Network

MLB superstar Aaron Judge stirred everyone up after he finally got on the board in 2024. The 2022 American League Most Valuable Player was without a home run through the team’s first six games. Judge was strikingly down to start the season, holding just three hits in 29 plate appearances entering his at-bat in the 4th inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Fortunately, Yankee fans and otherwise can breathe a heavy sigh of relief. Judge smoked his first home run of the season on Wednesday!

The Yankees slugger, who hit 62 home runs in 2022, went lift-off for No. 1 in 2024. Judge crushed it to the opposite field, and what’s more is we nearly had a splash-down situation! The ball careened off the wall near the pool in the DBacks’ outfield. It appeared to ricochet off the wall and roll into the water after the fact.

This poolside blast was impressive. It might not have been a direct hit, but Judge still got the people going with it anyway.

The Yankees were off to a 5-1 start, and offseason acquisition Juan Soto had jolted the fanbase with his exuberance and play. But Judge is the Yankee Captain for a reason. The hope has to be that the slump is over now, and Judge can return to being the intimidating presence he has been since he arrived in New York.

The MLB world had much to say about Judge and his poolside home run.
