Oregon State Beavers quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei will enter the NCAA transfer portal again.

After arriving at Oregon State last year following years spent at Clemson, Uiagalelei will be on the move again. The signal-caller had an impressive season in Corvallis, but the Beavers’ season ended last week at the hands of rival Oregon. So now, D.J. gets a chance to explore his options again.

“Oregon State QB D.J. Uiagalelei is entering the NCAA transfer portal today,” ESPN posted. “He’ll choose between the NFL Draft and a new college home in the upcoming weeks.” ESPN noted that On3 Sports and 247Sports were first to report the news of Uiagalelei’s transfer.

Uiagalelei has had a fascinating collegiate career. He stepped in at Clemson after Trevor Lawrence departed the university for the NFL. There was a lot of hype surrounding the former five-star quarterback amid a run of unprecedented success at Clemson. However, performance issues lingered throughout his career in the ACC. That led to his exit at the end of last season, and he went up to Corvallis.

His time in the Pacific Northwest appears to be short-lived. Jonathan Smith, his head coach at Oregon State this year, left for the Michigan State job. Interestingly, MSU may have an opening at quarterback now that their QBs entered the portal. So, will Uiagalelei follow his former coach to East Lansing? It may be something to watch.
