Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith has missed time late this season due to injury. On Wednesday, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll provided a noteworthy update.

Pro Football Talk wrote that Carroll expects Geno’s presence at practice this week and that he’d be a “full go.”

It sounds like the Seahawks are planning for Geno Smith to be back when they play the Titans on Sunday.

Head coach Pete Carroll told reporters in his Wednesday press conference that Smith will be a “full go” in Wednesday’s practice.

Smith missed the Seahawks’ last two games against the San Francsico 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles with a groin injury. THe team went 1-1 in those games. They took a defeat to the 49ers but then bounced back to win against the Eagles in dramatic fashion.

But it sounds like Smith’s time on the mend has come to an end. THat’s good news for the Seahawks who are still battling as the season nears its end. Seattle, 7-7, is eighth in the NFC right now as they stand behind the Los Angeles Rams for the final spot. The Rams own the tiebreaker over Seattle due to head-to-head.

Smith and the Seahawks will play the lowly Titans this weekend and could help spur their playoff chances to grow even more with a win.
