Iowa’s Caitlin Clark (22) attempts a three-point shot against Michigan State Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

She’s done it again!

For the second time in as many seasons, Iowa Hawkeyes forward Caitlin Clark has hit an incredible buzzer-beating three to defeat a Big Ten opponent.

In February 2023, Clark’s running three at the horn gave the No. 6 Hawkeyes a win over the No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers, jumpstarting a Hawkeyes winning streak that lasted all the way up until they lost to the LSU Tigers in the National Championship Game.

Tuesday night against the Michigan State Spartans, Clark hit a stepback three at the buzzer to lead the No. 4 Hawkeyes to a win.

Clark sent Carver-Hawkeye Arena into a frenzy with the dagger, which she hoisted from the logo.

While it looked like Clark may not have gotten the shot off on time, the Peacock clock appeared to be slightly ahead of the actual clock, as you can see by the backboard lighting up.

Clark finished the game with 40 points, her tenth career 40-point game and second this season.

Social media had a ton to say about the heroic shot.

Denver newscaster Tom Green praised Clark, saying, “She is one of the coolest things in sports right now. Do yourself a favor, and turn up the sound…the noise of that ball swishing is as sweet as it gets!!”

Another fan pointed out the clock discrepancy, saying, “Always remember the broadcast clocks are rarely perfectly in sync. The backboard clock is the official clock. This is a good basket. And a crazy shot.”

Another fan said, “There is arguably no one in any sport right now that is as clearly the best in their game as Clark is in Women’s basketball.”

Finally, another simply called Clark “The greatest Iowa Hawkeye I’ve ever had the privilege of watching”
