College GameDay

A week ago, the Appalachian State Mountaineers delivered the most shocking upset of the college football season when they downed No. 5 Texas A&M by a score of 17-14. And they’re not going to let anyone on site at ESPN’s College GameDay pregame show forget about it.

This week, College GameDay is on Appalachian State’s campus in Boone, North Carolina ahead of the team’s game against the Troy Trojans. The area was absolutely packed with fans, the atmosphere was electric, and the fans came ready to relentlessly troll Texas A&M for last week’s loss.

Fans had particular fun with the fact that Texas A&M paid Appalachian State $1.5 million to play in last week’s game, only to lose to the Mountaineers.

One sign read “The Only ATM That Lets You Withdraw $1.5 Million,” in reference to the money Texas A&M paid Appalachian State.

A few Appalachian State students even earned themselves free tuition for their hilarious GameDay signs.

The Mountaineer fans went absolutely nuts after last week’s shocking upset over the Aggies, flooding the streets of Boone to celebrate. It’s good to see that a week later, they’re still reveling in the victory. It’s safe to say that they won’t forget about that game for a very long time.
