The Georgia Bulldogs got their best and most important playmaker back on the field this week as Brock Bowers returned to action just 26 days after going through ankle surgery. And he opened up about his return to the field after the game.

Even though Brock Bowers had a relatively quick recovery time, given that he had surgery in the middle of the season, but it still felt like a long time to him.

“It felt like a long time,” Bowers told On3 on Sunday. “I mean just during the process, going day by day, but looking back on it, it wasn’t actually that long. I missed two games, which wasn’t the best but it was great to be back out there and back getting healthy again.”

Bowers admitted that it wasn’t easy to hang around the program and watch his teammates compete on the field knowing that he would be unable to help.

“It was super tough,” Bowers said. “Those were the first two games I’ve missed since I got here. Just seeing all the dudes run out of the locker room and everything like that — just tough stuff.”

Bowers is now back and is trying to help lead the Bulldogs to their third consecutive national championship.
