The Oregon Ducks will welcome the Colorado Buffaloes to Eugene this Saturday. Unlike previous years, this year’s matchup will have much more zeal. Deion Sanders’ Buffaloes are 3-0 and have nationwide attention. So, all eyes will be on this Top 25 matchup this week that will set the tone for the Pac-12 season. Oregon head coach Dan Lanning likely won’t have to trade barbs with Sanders, and it probably won’t get “personal.” There’s mutual respect in the air, which was shown towards quarterback Shedeur Sanders on Wednesday.

Sanders has been percolating lately on the field. He’s caused significant NFL Draft buzz for next year when Shedeur is eligible to move on. Lanning was extremely complimentary of him, revealing that Georgia did aim to recruit Shedeur while he was there.

“I think he’s just absolutely grown as a player,” Lanning said of Sanders via On3. “He’s the guy that makes it tick for them on offense. He’s operating at a really high level. Like I said before, Sean Lewis has done a phenomenal job with that offense he creates a lot of issues and he has him playing at a really high level as well.”

The 10th-ranked Ducks and 19th-ranked Buffaloes meet at Autzen Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time on ABC. Oregon is Colorado’s stiffest test to date, so we’ll know a lot more about Deion’s Buffaloes after this weekend. That’s for certain.
