Prime is ready for Week 1. Colorado head coach Deion Sanders will debut on the sidelines with the Buffaloes on Saturday afternoon against the TCU Horned Frogs. Sanders sent a clear message to his team ahead of the opener.

“Win!” Coach Prime posted on X early Saturday morning.

Sanders and the Buffaloes rumble into the 2023 season with a gargantuan amount of hype. Possibly entirely too much for their britches. The Buffs were dreadful last year and have spiraled after being one of the best programs of the 1990s. Colorado didn’t get to really enjoy much of its run in the Pac-12. Their successful 2016 season was an outlier, all things considered. But that didn’t stop Sanders from jumping from Jackson State and up to Boulder to lead the charge.

It will be fascinating to see how things play out. Colorado will jump right into the ball pit in Week 1. They start their season against the TCU Horned Frogs, last year’s National Runner-Up. While TCU looks different this season, they are no slouch whatsoever. The Buffs have struggled mightily in the past few seasons and it could be a long afternoon in Fort Worth if they aren’t careful. But all eyes will be on this one because of Deion, who will be patrolling the sidelines at the Power 5 level for the first time.
