One of the biggest games to date in the college football season is happening this Saturday between College Football Playoff No. 1 ranked Tennessee Volunteers and AP Poll No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs.

It should be an awesome atmosphere for those at the game, but ticket prices may make it difficult for just any fan to attend.

Before the season began, tickets for this game sat at $197 for the cheapest ticket, according to ESPN’s Field Yates via TickPick on Twitter.

Now that the stakes are at an all-time high for both teams, the cheapest ticket available for the game is now $626.

That price tag means that the Tennessee-Georgia game is the most expensive get-in price for any regular-season college football game on record.

Both Georgia and Tennessee sit at 8-0 on the season and have a very real chance at a College Football Playoff bid, but many fans are certainly upset to see the insane price of admission for the game.

The previous owner of the record was last year’s matchup between Ohio State and Michigan, which also had huge implications on the College Football Playoff race at the time.

Diehard fans will likely still fork over the money for this highly anticipated matchup, but it is certainly not an easy decision for fans that are in a pinch financially.
