Over the past few years, USC Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley has developed a bit of a reputation as a quarterback guru after coaching Heisman Trophy winners Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Caleb Williams as well as current NFL starter Jalen Hurts. He has an eye for quarterback talent, and it sounds like he’s impressed by Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

During his recent appearance on Trojan Live, Lincoln Riley was asked his assessment of Shedeur Sanders – the son of Deion Sanders – ahead of Saturday’s game against the Buffaloes. And Riley did not hold back any praise.

“Yeah, he’s playing really well,” Riley said of Shedeur Sanders to start on Trojans Live according to On3. “You know, he’s a really good player. They’ve done a nice job with their scheme, they’ve done a nice job surrounding him with some really good weapons and he’s really just a terrific distributor, you know, and that gets those skill guys the ball and they do it in a lot of very efficient and creative ways. And so he’s largely played very, very well this season.”

We’ll have to see how Shedeur Sanders performs this week and whether or not he is able to bounce back from what was a disappointing performance against the Oregon Ducks last week.
