The Ohio State Buckeyes might have the top offense in the nation, but they’ve had some crushing luck with injuries to their running backs this season. The team entered Saturday afternoon’s game against the Indiana Hoosiers already shorthanded at the running back position with running back TreVeyon Henderson sidelined for the second-straight game, and the Buckeyes got more bad injury news regarding running back Miyan Williams.
During the second quarter of Saturday afternoon’s game, Miyan Williams suffered an apparent ankle injury and needed medical assistance. Williams needed assistance getting to the sideline as he put no weight on his injured foot. He was ultimately taken to the locker room on a cart.
Williams gave the Ohio State crowd an “O-H” hand signal as he rode to the locker room.

Though the extent of Williams’ injury is not immediately known, he was ruled out for the rest of the game. It’s concerning news for the Buckeyes, and the college football world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.
Yea szn is probably over for him unfortunately https://t.co/NjvOnwi2gX

Dallan Hayden and most likely Xavier Johnson to carry to the rushing load for the rest of the game. Get well soon Miyan Williams.

I did not see Miyan Williams come out of the locker room after halftime. https://t.co/l4qlAWfcz4

Hate to hear about the injury to Miyan Williams. He’s really shining this season.

Williams’ injury is a huge blow to Ohio State. The Buckeyes also lost third-string running back Evan Pryor to a knee injury before the season even started. So with Williams and Henderson now also sidelined, Ohio State is down to their fourth running back – true freshman Dallan Hayden.
