Pat McAfee became the talk of the town on Saturday morning. McAfee and his exuberance grabbed headlines at College GameDay in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and everyone is talking about it.

McAfee helped lead the Alabama Crimson Tide fanbase in a chant early in the show. By early, we mean literally within the first 10 minutes. Pat not only led the chant, he stood up on top of the desk and brought even more energy with him.

The video of McAfee and his immense energy spread like wildfire quickly. The tweet has fetched over 430,000 views as of 11:28 a.m. Central time. It’s been bookmarked 207 times, quoted over 200 times, and reposted over 300 times.

McAfee’s addition to College GameDay has brought new life into the show. With Lee Corso aging and other factors, the show saw a bit of a downtrend. But with McAfee around now, plenty have been excited about what Pat brings to the table. In cases like this, that kind of energy is what makes the show fun and what makes the sport so great.

With everyone talking, opinions were pretty mixed. But much of the response was very positive and showed why fans have grown to like Pat McAfee and his presence on the ESPN staple. College GameDay got a big shot in the arm and as a result, people are liking what they’re seeing.
