As the sign-stealing allegations against the Michigan Wolverines continue to grow, a new report from Yahoo has revealed that the TCU Horned Frogs were aware of Michigan’s actions prior to meeting in the 2023 College Football Playoff Semifinal.

“Sometimes we froze a play before the snap,” said one TCU coach. “We’d call a play and then we’d signal in another play with an old signal but we told players to run the original play.”

This is just the latest allegation to come out against the Wolverines, who allegedly had a low-level staffer running a nationwide sign-stealing ring in order to provide a competitive edge on future Michigan opponents.

TCU pulled out a 51-45 win over Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl to advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship, where they lost 65-7 to the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Horned Frogs were allegedly tipped off by Ohio State and other Big Ten schools, as they were convinced Michigan was doing something uncouth.

“Literally everybody we talked to knew,” said one TCU coach. “They’d say, ‘Just so you know, they steal your signals and they’re going to have everything so you better change them.'”

While it’s unclear what will happen to Michigan or when the ruling will ultimately be issued by the NCAA, it’s another step in the wrong direction for the embattled Wolverines.
