Ohio State star TreVeyon Henderson Nov. 25, 2023; Ann Arbor, Mi., USA; Ohio State Buckeyes running back TreVeyon Henderson (32) take the field before Saturday’s NCAA Division I football game against the Michigan Wolverines at Michigan Stadium.

Ohio State Buckeyes star running back TreVeyon Henderson will be playing in the team’s upcoming matchup in the Cotton Bowl against the Missouri Tigers. But there is still some uncertainty there from Henderson about his future with the program.

Henderson has a productive junior season with the Buckeyes this year, racking up over 1,000 scrimmage yards to go along with 11 total touchdowns.

The former All-Big Ten Conference player has shown flashes of brilliance over the course of his career at Ohio State. Just take a look at his freshman season for the team in 2021 where he totaled 1,560 total scrimmage yards and 19 touchdowns.

However, there have also been times during Henderson’s career where he has simply been unable to stay on the field due to injuries, which could limit how teams at the NFL level potentially view him.

With this in mind, Henderson is still undecided about what he plans to do in 2024. According to Tom Orr of Buckeyeshuddle.com, Henderson says that he has still yet to make a decision about his future at Ohio State.

Henderson certainly has shown the talent to be a producive running back at the next level. But it could also be argued that playing another season at Ohio State could give him an opportunity to potentially improve his draft stock.

Most of his focus at the moment is likely on the team’s upcoming bowl game, so it will probably be much easier to make a clear-headed decision once that game has taken place.

Only time will tell what Henderson ultimately ends up doing. But regardless of his decision, it will certainly end up playing a big role on the future of the Ohio State Buckeyes as a program for the 2024 season.
