Tiger Woods is ready to get back onto the green.
The four-time Masters Tournament winner and golf legend announced plans on Wednesday of his long-awaited return to golf. Woods skipped the entire 2016 PGA Tour season to date, and he last participated at the Wyndham Championship back in August 2015.
Woods stated on his personal website that he intends on playing at the Safeway Open (Oct. 13-16) in California, the Turkish Airlines Open (Nov. 3-6) in Turkey, and at the Hero World Challenge (Dec. 1-4) in the Bahamas.
Hoping to play in Napa, Turkey, and Hero in the Bahamas. Can't wait to compete again. https://t.co/cuNUTQv0NW

Woods revealed his rehab is going so well and he’s now comfortable announcing upcoming tour dates. While not ensuring he’s 100% going to participate, the 40-year-old sounded hopeful about playing next season.
“My rehabilitation is to the point where I’m comfortable making plans, but I still have work to do,” Tiger said. “Whether I can play depends on my continued progress and recovery. My hope is to have my game ready to go.
“I’m looking forward to going to California for my foundation event and Safeway. I’m also excited to return to Turkey and Albany. It could be a fun fall.”
Despite his mountain of personal and professional struggles over the year, the PGA Tour just isn’t the same without Tiger. Woods had dominated the field for so long, that when his life and game came crashing down, it was hard to watch him fail. Now, close to 100% healthy, perhaps Woods can recapture some old magic and perform well at his scheduled tourney. Either way, it’s nice to see him announce his return.
