Tom Hoge played TPC Sawgrass as well as anyone ever has during the third round of The Players Championship on Saturday. But even after his course record 62, Hoge wasn’t happy about something — and made his frustrations known.
What could Hoge possibly be upset with after a round like that?
The food. It’s far too healthy for his liking.
In fact, Hoge actually lodged a complaint.
“The food is too healthy in player dining. There’s a QR code for us; I logged that complaint. They need some food like the rest of the obese people in America eat,” Hoge said after his round, per Brentley Romine, The Golf Channel. “I’m pretty hungry right now. I’m ready for a cheeseburger.”

Ordinarily, we might suggest that Hoge head out to the course a little earlier to give himself time to stop somewhere for a cheeseburger. But the man fired a 62 on one of the toughest courses in the world while on an empty stomach. So, he might have accidentally stumbled into something. Given that he’s still six shots off of the lead, he may not want to mess with a winning formula.
