Here’s a rare one!

A manager fight broke out at Petco Park during Friday night’s Dodgers-Padres game, after Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood believed Padres baserunner Jose Pirela was stealing signs from second base in the bottom of the first inning.

This led to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts then getting into it with Padres manager Andy Green. And after Roberts was being held back by the home plate umpire, he then chased after Green and bumped the San Diego skipper.

Naturally, that led to the benches and bullpens clearing, and both managers were ejected.

Certainly adds some interest to a rather one-sided rivalry between the Los Angeles and San Diego ballclubs in recent years.
