dog home run Dodgers Credit: Spectrum SportsNet

A dog took center stage at a Los Angeles Dodgers-Kansas City Royals Spring Training game.

The dog studiously stood in place as he watched former Dodgers first-round pick Michael Busch club a long home run.

Cut4 would later post another reel from the Spectrum SportsNet broadcast that the Dodgers’ team account did not: That the dog picked up the ball and retrieved it for its owner!

Doesn’t get any better than that!

The video of the pup and their game of home run fetch went viral on Saturday afternoon. Cut4’s video post racked up over 146.2K views as of writing, with 72 retweets,21 quotes, and 434 likes and counting.

Plenty reacted to the hilarious video.

Sarah Langs tweeted, “WHAT A GOOD BASEBALL DOGGO.”

“This is awesome,” tweeted B/R Walk-Off.

“A dog catching a home-run ball is an all-time wholesome moment,” Jomboy Media tweeted.

“13/10, looks like the Dodgers found a new catcher,” one fan said.

A Dodgers fan implored the team to sign the dog. Another wanted the Royals to do it.

It’s just how it is, as one fan pointed out.

“Maybe if the Rangers had him instead of Nelson Cruz they’d have a ring right now,” quipped one fan. Ouch.

“What a good dog,” another fan tweeted. Hard to disagree with that.
