With the Philadelphia Phillies getting ready to take on the heavily favored Houston Astros in the World Series, one of their former stars and current analysts has revealed a take on food that is, unusual, to say the least.
John Kruk was a three-time All-Star with the Phillies and was on their 1993 National League Championship-winning squad. He presently serves as an analyst for the Phillies on NBC Sports Philadelphia. On Wednesday, Kruk asked his Twitter followers a question. “Does anyone else put ranch dressing on their steak?”
Question, does anyone else put ranch dressing on their steak?

Unsurprisingly, Kruk’s propensity to put ranch dressing on his steaks generated some impassioned replies.
Not all of them were negative. Some people have similar tastes or liked the idea well enough to give it a shot next time.

The majority of responses, though, were not in support of Kruk’s take.
This falls under the category of "Never meet your heroes."
Just kidding. Love you, John. Eat steak however you like it, even if it's disgraceful. https://t.co/D5x4kgYZx6

As Dan Orlovsky well knows, food takes can draw intense responses. Steak is a particularly hot-button issue. What’s the best method of cooking it? How raw or well done should it be? These are debates that can put a serious strain on even the most stable friendships.
Whether as a player or analyst, Kruk has always seemed like one of the most down-to-earth people in baseball — the kind of guy that you think would be fun to grab a beer with. Grabbing a bite to eat with him, though, may be a more controversial experience.
