Fans who attended Saturday night’s game between the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders and Syracuse Mets didn’t just see a game between the Triple-A affiliates of the New York Yankees and New York Mets. They also saw a gun show — thanks to Luke Voit.

Voit signed a Minor League deal with the Mets after getting released by the Milwaukee Brewers earlier in the season. He was in uniform for Syracuse on Saturday night — and what a uniform it was.

Voit was wearing a uniform with cutoff sleeves and n undershirt. He also had the first few buttons on his shirt unbuttoned.

It was quite the sight.

Whether Voit can ultimately rediscover the form that he had with the Yankees in 2020, when he led the majors with 22 home runs in the COVID-19-shortened 60-game season, remains to be seen. turn can heads with his game remains to be seen.

But judging by the reaction of the MLB world on Saturday night, Voit is capable of turning heads.

The look didn’t just bring attention to Voit — it also brought some positive results.

After starting the game 0-for-3, Voit got a hanging curveball in his fourth at-bat. He punished that mistake, sending the ball well over the left-center field wall and off of the scoreboard for a home run.

When Voit does come back to the majors, we can only hope that he’s allowed to bring this look with him.
