New York Yankees star pitcher Carlos Rodon had an extremely rough outing on Wednesday night, which resulted in him receiving boos from Yankees fans in attendance. Rodon wasn’t thrilled about this, and reciprocated the feeling of disgust right back at the booing fans.

The Los Angeles Angels got to Rodon early and often in Wednesday’s game, scoring two runs in each of the first three innings on the former All-Star pitcher to jump out to a 6-0 lead by the end of the third inning.

As Rodon walked off the field after the final out of the third inning, Rodon appeared to notice some Yankees fans booing him. He was clearly frustrated about this, blowing a kiss to the fans as he walked down the dugout steps.

It clearly wasn’t the outing that he or the fans were hoping for, but many ripped Rodon for how he handled these fans in this moment.

It has been a frustrating season as a whole for the Yankees as a team and Rodon is certainly no exception. He has struggled in his few starts this season, coming into Wednesday’s game with a 5.23 ERA. This came after injuries limited him to miss the majority of the season until his return earlier this month.

Coming into the season, Rodon was expected to be a massive part of the Yankees rotation. That has not been the case to this point, and the team will need him to step up in a big way if they want to turn around their season and make a playoff push.
