Houston Rockets star point guard Chris Paul got charged with possibly the most bizarre turnover you’ll ever see in the NBA during Monday night’s Rockets-Jazz game in Salt Lake City.

With the Rockets leading the Jazz 96-85 in the final seconds, Paul was dribbling out the clock and everybody on the floor had accepted the game was over.

Well, except for one referee on the floor.

Paul walked over to the sideline while dribbling, and high-fived James Harden’s mom. The referee blew the whistle for Paul going out of bounds, resulting in a turnover.

That’s certainly a rough turnover to have added to the stats.

UPDATE: CP3 tweets about it.
