The Kyrie Irving trade figures to be a consequential move this NBA season. The effects of that trade may have further impacts than just the players involved, as well. Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant tied his wagon to Kyrie when they both joined the team. Now that one is out, the other may follow.
Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report made news available that drew a seismic reaction. Now that the Nets dealt Irving, KD could be next, and one team has emerged already as a potential destination. “The Phoenix Suns are prepared to pursue Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant should he become available,” Haynes tweeted.

A potential trade for Durant would involve him making himself available. But with his relationship with Kyrie in mind, that could potentially bubble to the surface. Trade rumors regarding Durant heightened when he requested a trade last year.
In the midst and face of everything now though, and with the Trade Deadline approaching, this could be a potential situation to watch. The Nets have gone through a lot of turmoil this season including a coaching change, among several other notables. That they might have to deal with off-loading another superstar player is pretty crazy, all things considered.
But if Durant becomes available, we have an idea of who might be first in line.
