The Los Angeles Lakers are in the midst of a remodel ahead of next season with new head coach Darlin Ham.

While there is a new face as their head coach, it appears that it will be a very similar roster barring any major trades this offseason.

Russell Westbrook is expected by most to opt into the upcoming player option in his contract that will net him $47 million next year, and it would be extremely bold to trade either Anthony Davis or LeBron James.

That leaves them with likely the same personnel that failed this past season, finishing with an underwhelming 33-49 record.

The poor outlook for the franchise may be getting to James as he chases the career of Michael Jordan as the greatest player of all time.

James has already said recently that the one current player he would want to play with is Steph Curry. Now he is doubling down, saying that he may be interested in playing for the Golden State Warriors in the future.

During an episode of The Shop, his YouTube talk show, he was posed a question about what remaining NBA team he would want to play on.

“It’s got to be Golden State,” said James, “I would love to get into a pissing match with Draymond [Green]. I love when somebody cusses me out.”

James and Green also have a very close relationship, both sharing agent Rich Paul as well as pairing together in a business venture for a tequila brand.

This could very well just be LeBron entertaining the question or it could be his actual ambition to play on a winning team again, but it is definitely interesting to hear him discuss Curry yet again as a hypothetical teammate.

Given the reaction that Kevin Durant received when he joined the Warriors, LeBron joining them in the future may get him even more flack than his infamous decision to join the Miami Heat in 2010.
