It seems Grizzlies management is also looking for other jobs.
On Friday morning, it was announced Memphis Grizzlies head coach David Joerger had been fired upon reports suggesting he wanted out of his contract to interview with other teams. It was a surprising move given Joerger did an excellent job with the team and seemed to be with the franchise for the long-haul.
Now that Joerger has left, a report suggests general manager Chris Wallace wanted out as well. Jason McIntyre of the Big Lead reports Wallace had interviewed for the previously vacant general manager gig in Sacramento.

What makes the news hilarious is that Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reports Joerger, who Wallace fired, is the leading candidate for the Kings head coaching vacancy.
There's significant momentum on Joerger-to-the-Kings, league sources tell @TheVertical. Sacramento has opportunity to get a deal done.

Wallace, who’s been Memphis GM since 2007, reiterated in an interview on the Grizzlies website that the decision to fire Joerger was his and was not made by owner Robert Pera. It would have been extremely awkward if Wallace joined an organization where the head coach would be the man he just fired.
Sadly, Wallace probably isn’t joining the Kings. Sacramento VP of basketball operations and acting GM Vlade Divac recently hired Ken Catanella away from the Detroit Pistons to serve as assistant GM. Marc Stein of ESPN.com reports Catanella took the job that Wallace ended up interviewing for.
The Kings wound up hiring Detroit's Ken Catanella after talks with both Wallace and David Morway, then proceeded to their coaching search.

It’s a shame because Wallace potentially joining Joerger in Sacramento would have been both awkward and right on point for the Kings clumsy decision-making skills. Wallace is likely sticking around with the Grizzlies for now, but given that he and Joerger both explored other opportunities, trouble might be brewing in Memphis.
