Haley and Hanna Cavinder made many headlines last season for their basketball play at Miami and the drama that was kicked up over NCAA violations surrounding their NIL recruitment.

After helping lead the Miami Hurricanes women’s basketball team to the first Elite Eight in program history, the twins elected to step away from the game of basketball, saying that they would forgo their fifth year of eligibility.

And while the twins appeared to be in unison with their decision, they revealed during the premiere of the reboot of their Twin Talk podcast on Betrmedia that they weren’t necessarily on the same page about whether they should continue their playing careers or call it quits

The twins revealed that Haley was the one who wanted to play another season at Miami, while Hanna was the one who was ready to move on with her life.

“We got in a fight, if you really want to know the tea, and I was like ‘Hanna, I’m going back,’ and she was like, ‘I’m not going back, I’m not doing it anymore,’” Haley said via The New York Post.

“We made it to the Elite 8, that was Hanna and I’s goal. Hanna didn’t want to play, so she made me quit basketball.”

Presumably, a big part of the reason they’re not returning to college basketball is over the NCAA investigation and sanctions involved in their recruitment. However, Hanna revealed that it was the social media trolls that made her want to quit the game.

The twins have announced that they will be joining WWE to begin careers in the professional wrestling world. So while they didn’t initially plan to walk away from basketball, endless opportunities have presented themselves to both Haley and Hanna since their initial announcement.
